Finance Takes Steps to End Stamp Monopoly

The Treasury Directorate at the Ministry of Finance announced in a statement that it will begin providing the service for collecting financial stamps using a financial stamp marking machine at the Public Stamp Fund and the Real Estate Departments in Beirut starting next week. This initiative will gradually be expanded to other funds as necessary.

The statement added that this step is part of the measures implemented by the ministry to put an end to the monopoly on financial stamps and to prevent their sale in the black market. The directorate emphasized that it is ready to meet the market's needs that operate through the proper channels via licensed public stamp fund clerks in the regions. It also called on those affected to cooperate with it by reporting exploiters for legal action.
