Inspection Tour of Olive Oil Mills in the South

The Economic Authority in the South has launched a new campaign targeting olive oil mills, taking random samples of olive oil from within the mills and supermarkets. A report was filed against an olive oil mill in the town of Ain Baal based on the Lebanese standard specification for failing to meet hygiene conditions. This took place during a tour of the areas of Qana, Ain Baal, Ghazieh, and Tanbourit, with the support of the State Security apparatus from the Zahle office. A total of four samples of olive oil were taken from two mills and two supermarkets, which were then sent to accredited laboratories for further action.
