Arsenal drew 2-2 at home against ten players from Fulham, missing the opportunity to take the lead in the English Premier League on Saturday. Fulham took the lead just 57 seconds into the match when Andreas Pereira capitalized on a misplaced pass from Arsenal's Bukayo Saka and shot the ball into the net past goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale, silencing the crowd early on.
However, Arsenal was awarded a penalty after a foul against Fabio Vieira an hour into the match, allowing Saka to regain his confidence and equalize. Just two minutes later, Arsenal took a 2-1 lead when Vieira sent in a cross that substitute Eddie Nketiah converted from close range.
Fulham was left with ten players after Calvin Bassey received a second yellow card for a foul on Nketiah, denying Arsenal a counterattack. But Fulham equalized through Joao Palhinha after a corner in the 87th minute.
