Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri is cautiously preparing for a "complex" trip later this week to face Monza, who are mid-table in Serie A after having lost to them twice last season. Juventus remains in second place following their 1-1 draw at home against league leaders Inter Milan on Sunday, where Dusan Vlahovic scored first before Lautaro Martinez equalized.
Allegri, whose team trails Inter by two points after 13 matches, emphasized Juventus's focus on securing a top-four position before December begins. He stated to reporters, "On Friday we go to Monza, a team that took six points from us last season, and we didn't score against them, so it will be a complex match. Our goal is to finish in the top four of the table, and this draw keeps us nine points ahead of fifth place."
The Italian coach continued, "Vlahovic played one of his best technical games since arriving at Juventus. I am very pleased, and even though he hasn't scored in two months, he always gives his all." Allegri was happy with Vlahovic's goal against Inter, as the Serbian striker scored for the first time since his goals against Lazio in September. Juventus will play away against ninth-placed Monza next Friday.
