Today, Friday, Prime Minister Najib Miqati held a meeting with Foreign Minister and Emigrants Abdullah Bou Habib at the Grand Serail, during which they discussed matters related to the ministry. Prime Minister Miqati also welcomed a delegation from the Lebanese Business Council in Kuwait, which included Council President Ali Hassan Khalil, Vice Presidents Mohamed Najia and Charles Younes, and the Council's Secretary-General Karim Adel Darwish.
After the visit, Secretary-General Karim Adel Darwish stated: "We were honored to meet with the Prime Minister today, and we briefed him on the activities the council has undertaken over the past years, especially in addressing the multiple and successive crises that have affected Lebanon. The council has played a role in supporting Lebanon on all fronts, as well as providing assistance to members of the Lebanese community in Kuwait and strengthening the close cooperation between the Lebanese embassy and the council."
He added: "We informed the President about the council's future plan, which aims to enhance the fraternal and historical ties between Lebanon and Kuwait, develop and strengthen the communication networks between the Lebanese business community in Kuwait and Lebanon, and enhance trade relations between the two countries. We are always keen to play our role as businessmen and executives to contribute to restoring Lebanon’s pioneering role in the region on all fronts." The council also presented a plaque of thanks and appreciation to Prime Minister Miqati.
