The goals for Al-Hilal were scored by forwards Michel Delgado from Brazil and Aleksandar Mitrović from Serbia, in the 62nd and 82nd minutes of the match.
The Indian team completed the game with ten players after their player Mahetab Singh received a second yellow card in the 55th minute. Following this victory, Al-Hilal raised their points to 10, leading Group D, ahead on goal difference over Uzbekistan's Navbahor Namangan, which also won against Iran's Nassaji Mazandaran 3-1. Meanwhile, Mumbai City sits at the bottom of the standings without any points.
