The Emirates News Agency (WAM) reported today, Saturday, that the UAE has allocated five million dollars "to support the efforts of Sigird Kaag, the Senior UN Coordinator for Humanitarian Affairs and Reconstruction in Gaza." Major donors to UNRWA had previously halted their funding after allegations emerged that around 12 of its tens of thousands of Palestinian employees were suspected of involvement in the attacks carried out by Hamas in Israel on October 7.
