Lebanese artist Amal Hijazi responded for the first time to the criticism directed at her for removing her hijab just days before the month of Ramadan. She wrote on her official account on the "X" platform: "To whom it may concern, I have not removed my ethics, nor my honor, nor my closeness and love for God, nor my humanity towards the poor, the needy, and the sick. I have not removed the principles I take pride in, and thank God for that. I have not removed my modesty; this is my religion, and this is what God has asked of us as humans, and this is what I will meet God with, not anything else. With my love and respect, clarification was necessary."
