The White House commented on Russian President Vladimir Putin's statements regarding his preference to work with Joe Biden as the U.S. president. U.S. National Security Council spokesperson John Kirby said during a press conference, "I think Mr. Putin knows well what this administration is doing to counter Russia's malign influence in the world, and what it is doing in Ukraine, of course." He added, "We have once again shown our determination to respond to what Russia is doing, especially in Ukraine, and Mr. Putin should not intervene in our elections." Russian President Vladimir Putin had earlier stated that Russia would work with whoever wins the U.S. presidential elections, but he considers Joe Biden better for Russia, seeing him as "more experienced and predictable in his actions."
