Several Iraqi provinces have decided to suspend official work next Monday. The provinces of Basra, Najaf, Karbala, Diyala, Maysan, Dhi Qar, and Wasit announced the suspension in commemoration of the martyrdom of Imam Ali (PBUH). The holiday does not apply to security, service, and health departments in the mentioned provinces.
