"By Order of the Crane Fish": The Highest-Grossing Film in Russia

The children's fantasy film "By Order of the Crane Fish," directed by Alexander Voitinsky, achieved its first million views in Russian cinemas on November 4. By November 20, this number had reached two million, with viewership expected to increase as the New Year approaches. While the viewership figures may not compare to those of the fantasy film "Cheburashka," directed by Nikita Khrulov, the folk fairy tale adapted for the big screen has made it onto the list of highest-grossing films in Russia, according to statistics from the Russian Film Institute, earning 2.067 billion rubles at the Russian box office as of November 20. For comparison, the film "Cheburashka" earned 6.7 billion rubles during the same period, while the space film "The Challenge" grossed 2.1 billion rubles. It seems that the fairy tale "By Order of the Crane Fish" will surpass the space film featuring star Yulia Peresild.
