Al-Ahed, the runner-up and defending champion from last season, secured its victory over Al-Burj, placed fifth, for the third time this season with a score of 1 - 0. The match took place this afternoon at the Fouad Chehab Sports Complex in Jounieh, as part of the second round of the "Top Group" phase, featuring the six teams that ranked in the top six at the conclusion of the first phase of the 63rd Lebanese football league. The only goal was scored by Scottish forward Lee Erwin in the 61st minute. Al-Ahed temporarily topped the standings while waiting for the match between Ansar and Racing tomorrow.
