Member of the "Development and Liberation" bloc, MP Hani Qubaisi, stated that "in the midst of our crisis, we proposed dialogue, but most politicians in this country rejected this language and left Lebanon in a significant crisis, economically and politically. They did not adhere to the language of dialogue. So what are you waiting for? Yesterday, you awaited a meeting of five countries to negotiate on our behalf, and today you await the results of regional agreements, while in your own country, you refuse to engage in dialogue. This only solidifies the crisis and perpetuates it through policies that have no relation to the national and sovereign affiliations you claim to uphold."
During his speech representing the "Amal Movement" at a memorial service in the town of Dhour, he emphasized that "we believe that the core sovereignty of our country is defending Lebanon's borders and defeating Israel." He addressed politicians, saying: "It is your priority to engage in dialogue to arrive at a situation that saves our country by electing a President and forming a government, along with agreeing on how to confront the economic crisis, primarily caused by the sanctions and the blockade imposed on Lebanon due to our resistance, culture, and victory over the enemy."
Qubaisi considered that "there are those who reject the language of dialogue to avoid reaching solutions. It is essential today that we bring our nation to basic agreements through which we coordinate on maintaining the state. Anyone who refuses dialogue these days is complicit in the destruction of state institutions. We can clearly see the decline in the functioning of institutions, the closure of many of them, and strikes in some, which disrupt citizens' interests, while some politicians refuse to meet."
He noted that "all of this requires political agreements; otherwise, the entrenchment of a language of disagreement enables the enemies of the homeland to punish our people, leading to the suffering of citizens in healthcare, education for their children, water, and electricity. Today, it is more beneficial for us to strive for national unity that establishes a policy of confrontation against Lebanon's enemies."
