The Army Commander, General Joseph Aoun, received the Minister of Public Works and Transport, Ali Hamiyeh, in his office in Yarze. They discussed the general situation in the country. Following that, the Director General of Land and Maritime Transport at the ministry, Ahmad Tamer, and the Director of Geographical Affairs in the army, Brigadier General Mohammad al-Jbaawi, signed a memorandum of understanding under which the Directorate of Geographical Affairs will survey marine public properties. Minister Hamiyeh thanked the army leadership and the Directorate of Geographical Affairs, considering this cooperation to reflect a sense of national responsibility. On the other hand, General Aoun confirmed that the Directorate of Geographical Affairs offers all its capabilities to the state ministries in the interest of the nation.

General Aoun also received Ms. Yumna Jamal accompanied by Mr. Roge Zakar and Professor Shafiq Abi Lamaa, who extended their condolences for the two fallen officers following the crash of an army helicopter in the Hmeimeh area. They also discussed the general situation in the country. The visiting delegation praised the army's efforts to maintain Lebanon's security and stability despite the challenges, affirming their support with all available resources.
