Minister of Agriculture and Iranian Ambassador Discuss Agricultural Memorandum of Understanding

The Minister of Agriculture in the caretaker government, Abbas Al-Haj Hassan, and the Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon, Mojtaba Amani, discussed the preparation of a memorandum of understanding between the two countries, as well as the establishment of a mechanism for joint cooperation in the agricultural sector. Amani affirmed the Islamic Republic's support for the Lebanese people, especially in light of the recurring Israeli aggressions against Lebanon. For his part, Al-Haj Hassan thanked "Iran, its government, people, and leadership for their constant support for Lebanon,” emphasizing that "the Lebanese agricultural sector is very promising concerning relations between the two countries," and appreciating "any effort that leads to strengthening commercial and agricultural relationships."
