Pakistan Blocks "X" Platform

Media regulatory authorities in Pakistan have blocked the social media platform "X" today, Thursday, as users across the country have experienced complete outages and partial or total shutdowns for the sixth consecutive day. Human rights activists have demanded the restoration of internet services and full access to social media, while Washington has urged Pakistan to lift the restrictions imposed on the platform. U.S. State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller stated: "We continue to call on Pakistan to respect freedom of expression and restore access to restricted social media, including the platform 'X'."
