Basil Discusses UNRWA Situations with Klaus

Today, Tuesday, the head of the "Free Patriotic Movement," MP Gebran Basil, received the Director-General of UNRWA affairs in Lebanon, Dorothee Klaus, who informed him about the agency's situations and the failure of donor countries to fulfill their contributions, which could exacerbate conditions in the refugee camps and outside for all beneficiaries of the agency. Basil expressed a clear stance on the necessity of working with friendly countries in the European Union, as well as Arab brotherly countries, to highlight the serious repercussions of the deteriorating conditions in the camps and the potential security threats and waves of displacement that could affect Europe and regional countries. He also emphasized the importance of encouraging brothers and friends to assume shared responsibility towards the Palestinian people and regional security.
