Klass Congratulates Qatari Ambassador: Doha as the Capital and Destination for Global Sports

Minister of Youth and Sports George Klass received the Qatari Ambassador to Lebanon, Sheikh Saud bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani, in his office, in the presence of General Director of Facilities and Head of the Sports Authority Mohamed Aouidat, Head of Public Relations Office Hassan Sharara, Minister's Office Director Hussein Omar, and Youth Affairs Advisor Mirna Sabra. Klass congratulated his guest on the unprecedented success of Qatar in hosting the Asian Cup, stating, "This is not surprising for Doha, which has become the capital and destination for global sports." He also congratulated the "Al Annabi" team for reaching the final match to defend their title, expressing his happiness for the qualification of both the Qatari and Jordanian teams, hoping for a distinguished summit between them that reflects high technical standards, ethics, and sportsmanship. Klass and the Qatari Ambassador discussed the stages completed in the cooperation agreements between the two countries in the fields of youth and sports, and Klass confirmed that they have now been completed from the Lebanese side. Ambassador bin Abdul Rahman promised to act quickly to finalize them from the Qatari side in order to sign them as soon as possible, aiming for mutual benefit for the youth and athletes of Qatar and Lebanon.
