Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan stated today that "Ankara will not allow the issue of Israeli nuclear weapons to be removed from the global agenda." He attributed European support for Israel to what he referred to as the "shame of the Holocaust." Following a Cabinet meeting, he remarked that "the West is trying to justify what he described as the war crimes and crimes against humanity being committed by Israel in Gaza," adding that Western countries are united with Israel in "brotherhood in lies," which he deemed "shameful." Erdoğan continued: "The shame of the Holocaust makes European leaders hostages... We in Turkey will not allow the Israeli nuclear program issue to be forgotten."
