Xavi Hernandez, the coach of Barcelona, is preparing a surprise for Paris Saint-Germain during the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final clash. According to Spanish newspaper "Marca," Brazilian Vitor Roque has not played a single minute in the Champions League before, but he is now one of the options that Xavi is considering using on the left wing against Paris next Wednesday.
The report noted that Xavi has decided to include Lamine Yamal and Robert Lewandowski in the starting offensive lineup, while he still has several options on the left side, including Roque, Ferran Torres, Joao Felix, Rafinha, and Pedri.
It was explained that Xavi has been giving Roque various minutes in recent weeks, and thanks to his defensive work and ability to evade marking and move off the ball, he has become an interesting option for the Barcelona coach in the upcoming match against Paris.
It is worth mentioning that Roque has played 12 matches for Barcelona so far, scoring only two goals since his arrival at the Catalan club in January. If Roque plays against Paris, he will join the ranks of the youngest Brazilians to make their debut in the Champions League alongside Rafael (Manchester United), Philippe Coutinho (Inter), Vinicius, Rodrigo (Real Madrid), Alexandre Pato (Milan), and Rafinha (Barcelona).
