Dubai Airports: Ready to Handle an Exceptional Season During COP28

Dubai Airports has confirmed its readiness to manage an "exceptional season" in terms of congestion and the high number of visitors during the COP28 climate conference, through both "Dubai International" and "Al Maktoum" airports. The Chief Operating Officer of Dubai Airports, Majid Al Joker, stated that "Dubai Airports will establish a control center at Dubai World Central (Al Maktoum Airport) and will reinforce the frontline staff at both airports to facilitate movement at all service points, ensuring a smooth and easy experience for all guests throughout the event and beyond."

In a statement to Emirates News Agency (WAM), he mentioned that "the COP28 climate conference is a significant milestone for the UAE, as it is one of the most important events hosted by the country this year." Al Joker added, "More than 140 heads of state and government, in addition to 80,000 participants, are expected to attend this global event."

He emphasized that "in our role as a major gateway to Dubai, we will do our utmost, as always, to welcome thousands of delegates and government representatives, including heads of state from around the world, to ensure that each participant departing through Dubai International Airport leaves with memories of a successful event and an unparalleled airport experience."

Al Joker noted that Dubai Airports started the second half of the year with strong results, highlighting that it is taking a comprehensive approach to ensure the success of all major events by providing world-class services to welcome and assist Dubai's guests. He continued, "Our team will ensure the smoothness of every journey as an unforgettable experience, and at the core of this is our unwavering commitment to ensuring the highest levels of operational efficiency, with a focus on advanced technology and personalized services to meet each traveler's unique needs."
