The Sharjah Sports Council has launched the Sharjah Sports Excellence Leadership Program, which includes six awards for different categories of clubs, institutions, and individual athletes in the emirate. This was announced during a press conference attended by His Excellency Issa Hilal Alhazami, Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council, His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Abdul Rahman Ben Sultan, a board member and head of the program, and several board members, along with a large number of club presidents and board members.
During the conference, all the details of the program were presented, addressing questions regarding categories, criteria, and mechanisms that will be used to filter and evaluate the nominees. The program is based on four pillars: achieving a future vision, managing companies and resources, promoting a sports culture, and results. It includes six award categories: the Sharjah Award for Sports Excellence, the Sharjah Award for Community Happiness and Welfare, the Efficiency Award, the Club Culture Race Award, the Scientific Research Award, and the Sustainability Award.
For the Sharjah Award for Sports Excellence, there are eight specific categories: Distinguished Club, Distinguished Administration, Best Electronic Service, Best Innovative Idea, Best Sports Director, Best Employee in Sports Institutions, Best Player, and Best Coach.
