Israeli Army Discovers Hezbollah Tunnel in Southern Lebanon

The Israeli army claimed on Sunday it had discovered a tunnel filled with combat tools and rocket launchers in Majdal Zoun, southern Lebanon.

According to a statement on "X", forces from the 91st Division are operating in the village of Majdal Zoun in southern Lebanon, located about 10 kilometers deep in Lebanese territory. The operation revealed the village is fortified and contains several infrastructures, including a large underground tunnel.

The Israeli army mentioned that during operations, over 20 members of Hezbollah were eliminated, including more than 10 from the Radwan Force. Additionally, over 50 military infrastructures were destroyed, including observation posts and weapons caches.

They further claimed to have discovered a large underground tunnel, over 200 meters long and 25 meters deep, with four launch apertures and 12 rooms, used for quarters and storing explosives, anti-tank missiles, and drones.

Earlier today, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated, "We will remain in the security zone in southern Lebanon as long as necessary to protect the northern residents."

Furthermore, Israeli Channel 12 reported that the Israeli army's Chief of Staff, Eyal Zamir, conducted a field tour in southern Lebanon, accompanied by military press.

According to military correspondent Amit Segal, Zamir focused on what he described as the "northern command's center of gravity," currently located in the Ali Taher and Castle Sheqif areas, claiming these locations aim to secure the Israeli northern towns' defensive line.
