America Commits to Cooperation with South Korea After Leak of Secret Information

The South Korean Ministry of Defense stated that "U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin held a phone conversation with his South Korean counterpart Lee Jong-sup on Tuesday, during which they discussed media reports about the recent leak of U.S. classified documents." It revealed that "the U.S. Secretary committed during the phone call to close communication and cooperation with South Korea." The New York Times reported that "the leaked documents contain details about private discussions among senior South Korean officials regarding U.S. pressure on the Asian ally to assist in providing weapons to Ukraine, as well as South Korea's policy of not doing so."
