Hezbollah announced in a statement today, Friday, that it targeted the Israeli Kila military base in the Syrian Golan with dozens of rockets. The statement read: "In support of our steadfast Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and in solidarity with their valiant and honorable resistance, the Islamic Resistance fighters targeted the Kila base belonging to the Zionist enemy's army in the occupied Syrian Golan with dozens of Katyusha rockets at 5:50 PM on Friday, February 9, 2024."
Hezbollah also announced the targeting of surveillance equipment around the Al-Malikiyah site, with direct hits reported. Among the targets were:
- The targeting of surveillance equipment at the Al-Ramta site in the Shebaa Farms in Lebanon, using appropriate weapons with direct hits achieved.
- The targeting of the Zabdine site in the occupied Shebaa Farms with missile strikes resulting in direct damage.
Israeli media commented on the barrage of rockets from Lebanon, stating: "For the second consecutive day, Hezbollah has launched a concentrated barrage of dozens of rockets at northern settlements, indicating a possible escalation in combat."
