Kuwaiti media reported that the Court of Cassation upheld a fine of 2,000 dinars against the Twitter user Hamid Bouyabas for the misuse of a phone and for insulting the Saudi Interior Minister, while acquitting him of charges of engaging in hostile actions against the Kingdom. The newspaper "Al-Siyasah" stated that the Court of Cassation confirmed Bouyabas' acquittal of engaging in hostile actions against Saudi Arabia, while upholding the fine for insulting Saudi Interior Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Nayef. According to "Al-Siyasah," the Public Prosecution in Kuwait had accused Bouyabas of engaging in hostile actions against Saudi Arabia through his account on the social media platform "X," by insulting the Saudi Interior Minister and undermining customs officials, and for deliberately misusing a means of telephone communication.
