A Spanish media report revealed today, Wednesday, the position of Canadian Alfonso Davies, Bayern Munich's full-back, regarding his future. Davies' contract with Bayern expires at the end of next season, amid attempts by his club to renew it, as well as Real Madrid's pursuit of him following the end of this season. According to the Spanish newspaper "AS," Davies has chosen to transfer to Real Madrid and has rejected the offer to renew his contract with Bayern Munich.
At the same time, Bayern is still pressuring Davies to extend his contract and remain with the Bavarian team. However, Davies is adamant about changing clubs and hopes that Real Madrid can reach an agreement with Bayern next summer. The newspaper added that Real Madrid and coach Carlo Ancelotti have made their decision to sign Davies to strengthen the left side, especially given Ferland Mendy's inconsistent performance and doubts about Fran Garcia.
The report also noted that while staying at Bayern until the end of his contract is a possibility, it is not the best option for the Bavarian club.
