Video: Arab Leaders Perform Eid Al-Adha Prayer

The Islamic world celebrates Eid Al-Adha today, Wednesday, with a significant turnout of worshippers, including Arab leaders. The Syrian news agency "SANA" reported that Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad performed the Eid prayer at Al-Afram Mosque in the Al-Muhajireen neighborhood of Damascus.

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi also performed the Eid prayer at the Air Force Mosque, celebrating the 10th anniversary of June 30.

In Qatar, Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani performed the Eid prayer at Lusail Prayer Area alongside Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Thani, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani (Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs), Hassan bin Abdullah Al-Ghanim (Chairman of the Advisory Council), several other sheikhs, ministers, council members, and ambassadors.

In Bahrain, King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa performed the Eid prayer at Al-Sakhir Palace Mosque, accompanied by Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, several senior members of the royal family, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, ministers, and high-ranking officials.

In Abu Dhabi, President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan performed the Eid prayer at Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque along with several prominent figures, including Vice President Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and other sheikhs and officials.

The Eid sermon was delivered by Omar Habtoor Al-Dharai, General Director of the UAE Fatwa Council, emphasizing the importance of family cohesion. He highlighted that "the family is a source of joy and happiness," stressing the necessity of honoring parents and coming together during joyful occasions.

After the prayer, the President exchanged greetings with worshippers and then visited the grave of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, reciting Al-Fatiha for his soul and praying for the Almighty to grant him mercy and reward him for his contributions to his people and nation.

Jordanian King Abdullah II also joined the worshippers for the Eid Al-Adha prayer at Al-Hashmi Mosque in the capital, Amman.
