Harmoush: The Unity of Sovereign Forces Protects Lebanon from Regional Consequences

Dr. Bilal Harmoush called for intensifying dialogue and expanding partnership between sovereign forces and all components that can align with them on their principles to preserve national cohesion and ensure sound management of this transitional phase. This requires raising levels of coordination, opening up, and exploring political, social, and economic strengths to secure resilience against collapse and the crumbling of state institutions, as well as the blockage of solutions in the foreseeable future. He emphasized the need to reorganize the ranks of sovereign and national forces, overcoming any obstacles and hindrances that may arise, as the priority is to secure a cohesive front that maintains moderation and sovereignty while countering attempts to draw Lebanon into the dangers of war and regional dependency. The unity of these forces could ensure Lebanon's continued existence within the framework of Arab interests without compromising Lebanon's legitimate rights, leading to a national defense strategy that serves as an entry point for stability and the restoration of sound constitutional and political life. Harmoush considered that ensuring the unity of sovereign and national forces is essential to accompany the regional and international movements concerning Lebanon, Palestine, and the region, so that the national voice is present and clear at global decision-making sites at a moment when our region is being shaped by blood and fire. Initiative is necessary to protect Lebanon from the risks of war expansion in the south, where there is no real protection for the country except through the full implementation by the Israeli enemy and the Lebanese side of Resolution 1701.
