A judicial source informed "Al Arabiya" that "the judiciary received three reports concerning twelve detainees, including two minors whose task was to lure victims in the TikTok case. They appeared before the investigating judge, with the first report including five detainees scheduled for a special session next July in preparation for issuing the indictment. The second report contained five additional detainees, while the third included two detainees.
The source stated that arrest warrants in absentia were issued against Paul Maouchi "Jay," who is in Sweden, Peter Naffa, and a third person outside Lebanon. The source also confirmed that the judiciary has issued a red notice to Interpol for the fugitives, as several of them are located in multiple countries.
Regarding Maouchi, the main participant in the TikTok gang and his role in money laundering and selling videos on the Dark Web, the judicial source revealed that Sweden refused to extradite him to the Lebanese judiciary following a request from the Lebanese Public Prosecution. Therefore, they turned to Interpol to apprehend him, especially after it became clear that he holds dual citizenship, allowing him to leave Sweden for another country.
The source confirmed that Sweden is now obligated to extradite Maouchi following the issuance of the red notice through Interpol, particularly given his involvement in money laundering after it was revealed that he was making significant financial transfers.
