"Riyadh Education" Celebrates World Arabic Language Day

The General Directorate of Education in the Riyadh region participates in the celebration of "World Arabic Language Day," under the slogan: "Arabic is the Language of Poetry and Arts," which occurs on December 18 each year. The Director General of Riyadh Education, Dr. Nayef Al-Zar'ah, stated that "the celebration aims to achieve one of the targets of the Human Capabilities Development Program, within the framework of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, which focuses on caring for the Arabic language as a fundamental part of the national identity of citizens, one that every citizen takes pride in and strives to teach constantly." For his part, the official spokesperson for Riyadh Education, Abdel-Salam Al-Thumairy, explained that "the administration has prepared a comprehensive plan to celebrate this day through various programs and activities aimed at highlighting the Kingdom's leading role in serving the Arabic language and enhancing its presence both locally and internationally." He confirmed that "the activation of the occasion will come through directing and investing in various activities, programs, events, and school broadcasts to emphasize the importance of the Arabic language and its civilizational role, thereby enhancing students' awareness of their language and its high status."
