Title: The Connection Between Exercise Tolerance and Heart Problems

Cardiology specialist and correspondent member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Professor Philip Baliev, announced that fatigue during regular physical activity and the appearance of swelling in the feet may indicate heart issues. According to him, poor exercise tolerance can indicate cardiac problems, especially if a person feels tired quickly from performing the same exercises that previously did not cause any discomfort. He states, "For example, brisk walking or climbing stairs. If a person could calmly walk up to the fifth floor without feeling tired, but now can only reach the third floor after taking a break, that is concerning and a doctor should be consulted." He adds that the second sign is the appearance of swelling in the legs. He continues, "If a person notices that wearing the same usual shoes has become difficult due to tightness, while this is not a specific sign, leg swelling is often related to heart function." The professor further explains that what is called "shop window disease" can indicate heart problems: "When a person frequently stops in front of shop windows, this condition is referred to as 'shop window disease,' which may actually indicate atherosclerosis of the lower extremities causing pain in the legs, forcing the person to stop and rest, pretending to look at the displays to avoid drawing attention from others."
