A horrific crime occurred in Hama province, central Syria, where a doctor and his wife were killed following gunfire and the explosion of a grenade by their son-in-law. The Syrian Ministry of Interior revealed details of the incident, stating: "Reports were received by the Al-Ghab police from Al-Suqaylabiyah National Hospital about the deaths of Dr. Issam Hoshah and his wife, Rania Al-Ahmad, as well as serious injuries to their children (Rima) and (Zain) and their son-in-law (Ahmad.A) due to shrapnel wounds all over their bodies."
The statement continued: "Immediately, patrols from the Al-Ghab police and the criminal security center headed to the scene. Initial investigations revealed that the doctor’s son-in-law, Ahmad.A, opened fire and threw a hand grenade that exploded in Dr. Issam’s house located in the village of Huraat Amourin, part of the Tal Salhab area in Hama, resulting in the deaths of both him and his wife, as well as serious injuries to their children and the shooter, due to family disputes."
The statement concluded: "A military rifle and three hand grenades were confiscated from the scene of the incident, and investigations are ongoing."
