Declining Content Leads to "Iraqi Rose" Behind Bars

The Anti-Obscene Content Committee in the Ministry of Interior decided today, Monday, to take legal action against a social media celebrity known as (Iraqi Rose). A security source stated that "the legal actions come based on the decision of the Karkh Court, which specializes in publishing and media cases." Earlier last year, the Presidency of the Baghdad/Karkh Court of Appeals sentenced the influencer Mahdi Youssef, known as (Iraqi Rose), to simple imprisonment for three months and ten days in accordance with the provisions of Article 403 of the amended Penal Code No. 111 of 1999, with the period of suspension counted from May 9, 2023, until May 24, 2023.
