Spanish player Sergio Ramos, former captain and defender of Real Madrid, has once again become a target for Saudi clubs for potential signing after being considered earlier. Ramos had finished his contract with Sevilla at the end of last season as the contract term expired. Italian transfer expert and journalist Rudy Galetti noted on the platform "X" that Ramos is in high demand for a move to the Saudi league this summer.
Despite the player's initial refusal to consider a transfer to Saudi Arabia, as his family prefers to move to the USA and join a club there, the lack of a suitable financial agreement has led him to reconsider the idea of joining a Saudi club. Galetti explained that negotiations with Ramos are still in the early stages, but they are expected to progress more rapidly in the coming period to reach an agreement before the new season begins.
Ramos' name has previously been linked specifically to Al-Ittihad, which is looking to sign a new defender as a replacement for their Brazilian player Luiz Felipe if a decision is made for him to leave the team.
