Zina: The Center of the Dispute Between Ahmed El Sakka and Tarek Lotfy

The hottest drama season of the year has begun, with the series "Al-Ittawla" competing to attract viewers early with its unique mix of drama and cinema stars. In this popular drama, "Zina" is a key player in the lives of the two main characters, (El Sakka) and (Lotfy), who reunite after more than 25 years since their last collaboration in the film "Saidi in the American University."

Regarding the work, Zina describes the behind-the-scenes of her character, saying: "I portray a character named (Hana), which is a new character I haven't played before in form and content. She is a girl close to the people, present in every household, modest - as we say in Egypt - and an innocent Alexandrian girl who finds herself entangled in major problems, and we will see where life takes her!"

Speaking about the series, Zina states: "In Al-Ittawla, the brothers (Nassar) played by Ahmed El Sakka and (Khidr) played by Tarek Lotfy engage in organized crime, a profession they inherited from their father, until the gentle dreamy girl (Hana) appears and changes Nassar's life, prompting him to distance himself from a life of crime to start anew, leading to a conflict between them."

Ahmed El Sakka describes the series as: "A popular work that is characterized by its uniqueness because it speaks about the people of Alexandria, who have their own distinct character, way of speaking, and dialect." Reflecting on the character he portrays, he explains that "Nassar is a model of a tragic hero, experiencing ups and downs in his life, but he tries to remain positive in all circumstances and interactions, even when life pushes him towards negativity; then changes occur in his life that lead to what we will see in the series."

Tarek Lotfy plays the character "Khidr," Nassar's brother (El Sakka), and discusses his role: "They are close brothers who complement each other; each has a specific role in the story to the extent that the absence of one causes a disruption," noting that "the conflict is an attempt to avoid separation, not with the aim of one replacing the other or taking a higher position." He adds: "This role is a challenge for me because popular characters have certain moral characteristics and display courage, along with a specific body language and different popular phrases from what I have presented in previous roles."

While Lotfy praises the cohesive script rich in details, he expresses his happiness at working with Ahmed El Sakka, stating: "He is like a brother to me and one of the nicest people you meet in life. I was aware that the work's behind-the-scenes would be enjoyable."

It is noteworthy that the series "Al-Ittawla" is broadcast on MBC Networks and "Shahid," starring Ahmed El Sakka, Tarek Lotfy, Basem Samra, Zina, Salah Abdullah, Mai Kassab, Mimi Gamal, Farida Seif Al-Nasr, and others. It is written by Hisham Hilal and directed by Ahmed Khaled Moussa.
