Israeli Army Announces Death of 9 Officers in Gaza Strip

The Israeli army announced today, Sunday, the death of 9 of its servicemen in the ongoing battles in the Gaza Strip, bringing the number of its casualties since October 7 to 486. It published on its website the names and photos of the 9 fallen soldiers:

- Sergeant Roy Elias, 21 years old, a fighter in Engineering Battalion 603, part of "Saar Migulan."

- Sergeant David Bogdanovski, 19 years old from Haifa, and Sergeant Oriel Bashan, 20 years old from Haifa, both fighters in Engineering Battalion 603, part of "Saar Migulan" (7).

- Sergeant Gal Hirshko, 20 years old from Miftah, a platoon commander in Engineering Battalion 603, part of "Saar Migulan" (7).

- Sergeant Itamar Shimon, 21 years old from Malbid, and Major (Reserve) Nadav Yasker Farhi, 30 years old from Herzliya, both medics in Battalion 7810, Yiftach Brigade (11).

- Major (Reserve) Eliyahu Meir Ohana, 28 years old from Haifa, a fighter in Battalion 7810, Yiftach Brigade (11).

- Reserve Major Elisaf Shushan, 23 years old from Jerusalem, and Reserve Sergeant Ohad Ashour, 23 years old from Kfar Yona, both fighters in Battalion 6646, part of Shuali Marom (646).

The last officer announced dead was Major Ariyeh Reen from the Armored Corps, who was killed by the explosion of an anti-tank missile fired by the resistance in northern Gaza.

On Saturday evening, the Israeli army announced the death of 5 officers and soldiers in battles in southern and northern Gaza Strip. The war in Gaza has entered its 79th day, with Israeli forces continuing to bombard cities and districts in the north and south of the Strip amid intense clashes on all fronts.
