The Ministry of Environment stated today that "forecasts indicate a significant increase in fire risk in Lebanon over the next few days, particularly in the regions of Western Beqaa, Rashaya, and Akkar. Therefore, the Ministry of Environment urges everyone to exercise extreme caution and avoid using any source of fire near vegetative cover. The ministry also calls on municipalities, protected area committees, fire monitoring teams in the regions, and civil society organizations to monitor any fire risks and ensure early detection to facilitate timely intervention by civil defense teams and first responders." It concluded, "Your contribution to this matter is essential for preserving environmental safety and preventing the spread of fires."
