Bahraini Foreign Minister Visits Tehran on Monday

Bahraini Foreign Minister Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani is set to visit the Iranian capital Tehran for the second time in one month. According to Mehr News Agency, Al Zayani is visiting Tehran to participate in the Asian Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) Forum, scheduled for tomorrow, Monday. He will also hold a bilateral meeting with Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Ali Bagheri Kani during his visit. More than 30 delegations, including foreign ministers and deputy foreign ministers from ACD member countries, are expected to participate in the summit hosted by the Iranian Foreign Ministry. Bahraini King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa had previously reaffirmed his country's efforts to restore diplomatic relations with Iran as a neighboring country. This statement was made during a speech on May 31, when he met with the Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China, Li Qiang. The King expressed, "As advocates of peace, tolerance, and human coexistence, we believe in the necessity of a dialogue and peaceful diplomacy approach based on good neighborliness and non-interference in internal affairs."
