The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have reported significant progress in their ongoing operations in southern Lebanon, targeting and dismantling terrorist infrastructure. IDF spokesperson Avichay Adraee announced on X, formerly known as Twitter, that the Carmieli Brigade, under the 146th Division’s command, has successfully uncovered two underground Hezbollah complexes in recent days. One of these was a major command center situated underneath a civilian village, serving as a hub for Hezbollah leadership, buried tens of meters deep. The IDF neutralized terrorists fortified within and destroyed the complex.
Moreover, Adraee revealed the discovery of a weapons cache in a remote mountainous area. The arsenal was intended for a unit within Hezbollah's Radwan Force, meant for attacks on Israeli territory. The IDF seized all munitions, which included an arsenal such as 11 trucks loaded with Kornet missiles, grenade launchers, and various firearms, constituting a substantial quantity of weaponry smuggled into Israel.
Adraee emphasized that IDF operations continue, targeting both above and below ground in southern Lebanon. These efforts have resulted in the confiscation and destruction of hundreds of combat tools and the neutralization of numerous terrorist elements through direct confrontations and air raids.
