Hezbollah's Deputy Secretary-General, Sheikh Naim Qassem, has sent a heartfelt message to Dr. Mohammad Reza Qalibaf, the Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran. In his message, Sheikh Qassem expressed deep gratitude for Iran's strong and supportive stance towards Lebanon, its people, and its resistance against Israeli aggression. He highlighted the pivotal role Iran plays in halting the ongoing military operations by Israel across all fronts, including Lebanon, as a primary condition linked to ceasing hostilities against the Islamic Republic of Iran, marking a fundamental aspect of the agreement between Iran and the United States.
Sheikh Qassem praised Iran for transforming the only glimmer of hope into a reality, showcasing to the world that Iran stands as an advocate for justice, resistance, and the marginalized. He noted that if other nations followed Iran's path, the likes of America and Israel would not have acted with such impunity, nor would the Israeli occupation remain firm in Palestine and Jerusalem.
Reaffirming Iran's unwavering support to Hezbollah and Lebanon's resistance, Sheikh Qassem emphasized that despite Iran's extensive support, it sought nothing in return. Iran's contributions were intended to strengthen Lebanon's sovereignty and aid its people. Currently, Iran is facing retaliatory strikes against Israel for its assaults on Beirut's southern district, shouldering potential warfare consequences with commendable sacrifices. Sheikh Qassem declared Iran as an emblem of pride and honor.
On behalf of Hezbollah, its Islamic resistance, and the appreciative Lebanese people, Sheikh Qassem extended immense gratitude to Iran. He also conveyed thanks on behalf of the martyrs, especially the revered Martyr Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, the injured, and prisoners. He addressed the chief negotiators, including Foreign Minister Dr. Abbas Araghchi, and requested that appreciation be communicated to Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei, who has greatly supported their cause, and President Ebrahim Raisi, a staunch supporter of the resistance. He also acknowledged the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps for their formidable role in altering power dynamics, alongside the army, elite, and all official and popular entities.
He extended special recognition to the Iranian people, noting their sacrifices and support for the resistance. Concluding his message, Sheikh Qassem thanked loyal Iran, wishing peace and blessings.
