Mohammed Raad, head of the Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc, has urged Lebanese authorities to examine the US-Iran agreement meticulously and objectively, stating that its stipulations will have wide-ranging implications for the region and the world, including Lebanon.
In a statement from Hezbollah’s Media Relations, Raad advised the Lebanese government to cautiously approach new developments and not underestimate Iran’s commitment to deterring Israel should it breach the agreement’s terms.
Raad emphasized that Israel has a two-month deadline to completely withdraw from Lebanese territories. During this period, it must adhere to a ceasefire on land, sea, and air and commence withdrawal steps without necessitating direct negotiations.
He also mentioned that any subsequent arrangements could be made through internal national consensus and according to constitutional and charter principles, allowing for indirect negotiation formats with Israel to reactivate the armistice agreement in line with current realities.
Raad advised the Lebanese authorities against participating in actions directly targeting the resistance, claiming it does not serve Lebanon or its people’s interests.
He affirmed that Israel’s war against Hezbollah failed to achieve its objectives, underscoring the resistance's survival despite political and military pressures. He stressed the party’s openness to internal national understanding to ensure Lebanon’s security and stability.
Raad concluded by asserting that the resistance will not succumb to what he described as “Israeli aggression” and will continue to protect Lebanon’s sovereignty, calling for a unified national approach to the challenges the country faces in the coming phase.
