Despite the declaration of a ceasefire, the Israeli military carried out intense airstrikes on the Nabatieh area and its surrounding villages last night. These strikes predominantly targeted residential homes, resulting in multiple casualties, injuries, and missing persons.
Nabatieh and its region experienced one of the toughest nights during the recent aggression. The Israeli army escalated its actions significantly and launched concentrated artillery shelling starting from 1:30 a.m. Thursday-Friday, targeting Nabatieh city, the Kfarjouz area, and the towns of Kfarmaan, Zebdin, Nabatieh Fawqa, Huboush, Sajd, and Jabal Rafi.
At around 2:10 a.m., Israeli warplanes conducted a series of raids on Nabatieh city and the towns of Kfartibinite and Nabatieh Fawqa and on the Rihane Heights.
Around 3 a.m., more strikes hit Kfarjouz - Nabatieh, the University neighborhood in Nabatieh city, Al-Bider neighborhood in Harouf, resulting in the death of 8 people. This was followed by an airstrike on Al-Ashamia between the towns of Al-Sharqiyya and Al-Dweir, destroying a house and killing 4 more people, in conjunction with concentrated artillery shelling of the Nun neighborhood in Nabatieh city.
In Kafrsir, a hostile raid resulted in 3 deaths.
The town of Al-Qsaybeh was struck around 4 a.m., coinciding with artillery shelling on the outskirts of Kafrsir and Al-Qsaybeh, followed by raids on Kfar Djal and Kfartibinite.
An enemy drone targeted a motorcycle near the Al-Dweir municipal building around 5 a.m., resulting in one death and one injury.
The town of Jebsheet also faced a series of drone strikes, accompanied by artillery shelling.
At approximately 5:15 a.m., the air force launched strikes on the town of Aadeshite, followed by another on Kfarjouz - Nabatieh and Toul, alongside concentrated artillery shelling of Jebsheet.
