No money laundering, no illicit enrichment, no public fund theft: no felony.!
This is the conclusion of the decision made by the Indictment Chamber, led by Judge Fadi Al-Aridi, delivering a blow to prior decisions, dubious accounting expert reports, and twisted claims driven by political and media pressures for personal gain funded by the black market in electronic gambling.
In short, there is "no embezzlement of public funds" at Casino Lebanon and Betarabia. This judicial decision comes after a year of intense and suspicious campaign and conspiracy against them. However, the fair judiciary, although delayed, proved that justice shines brightly and remains an unavoidable sword hanging over all conspirators against Lebanon and its successful youth who turned to the court affirming that "justice will prevail for those who pursue it."
The first step towards this decision was through Judge Tarek Abu Nasser's ruling, the investigating judge in the case of Jad Garios and Roulan Khoury and all other detainees on "charges" they did not commit, as Judge Fadi Al-Aridi, President of the Indictment Chamber in Mount Lebanon, explicitly announced.
After reviewing the 117-page judicial decision issued by the Indictment Chamber, it becomes clear the extent of the expanded and in-depth investigations which applied the highest financial auditing standards at Casino Lebanon and BetArabia. Particularly since the accusation was "embezzlement of public funds," but the decision clearly indicates that the company adhered to the enforced laws, as the accusations also targeted the accounting experts at Casino Lebanon and BetArabia. In conclusion, the judiciary stated: No embezzlement of public funds.
According to sources familiar with the case, the decision dismissed the Public Prosecution's appeal and upheld the suspicion decision as a simple misdemeanor relating to tax evasion, which sources affirm will be refuted before the substantive judiciary.
Regarding the money laundering issue associated with the use of USDT cryptocurrency, the relevant parties confirmed that this market is under the supervision of the Lebanese authorities, particularly the judicial police, with no room for money laundering, asserting that this matter will also be refuted before the substantive judiciary.
Therefore, once again, the judiciary has served justice, confirming that the Casino and Betarabia file remains unblemished despite all interventions from some black market beneficiaries and others through politicians, influential figures, and security personnel.
Despite some media and social media attempting to pressure the Indictment Chamber to make a decision of felony presence, the Chamber, under Judge Al-Aridi, ensured the application of laws and justice, concluding that the material element for the crime of public fund embezzlement is not present. It also confirmed the lack of a moral element for the crime, except for a simple misdemeanor of tax evasion, which will be refuted before the substantive judiciary.
Despite all the campaigns that began when Betarabia acquired the tender in 2022, becoming the "only legitimate" company managing electronic gambling under the Casino Lebanon's umbrella, the fair judiciary closes a dark chapter of conspiracies and claims, cutting through doubt with certainty on the "legitimacy" of Betarabia and its leading role in responsible betting under the state’s legitimate umbrella, confirmed by a judicial decision:
No embezzlement, no money laundering, and no public fund theft.
