Hezbollah has released a statement rejecting Israel's accusations that it violated the ceasefire. The Islamic Resistance asserts that Israel has never adhered to any ceasefire agreement since November 27, 2024, through April 16, 2026, up until the recent Iranian-American agreement, which in its first clause, emphasized ending the war on all fronts, including Lebanon.
In fact, Israel has persisted in its breaches of the ceasefire, committing massacres, destroying residential buildings and civilian infrastructure, and continuing ground assaults aiming to penetrate and control villages and areas that remained inaccessible before the agreement. Israeli contempt for the ceasefire reached a point where the Chief of Staff of their army, General Ayal Zamir, declared two weeks ago that "there is no ceasefire in Lebanon," echoed yesterday by a military spokesperson reaffirming the ongoing activity of occupation forces in southern Lebanon.
As is its usual practice, Israel, compensating for its inability to confront the resistance fighters and to cover up its failures and losses on the battlefield, resorts to committing massacres against civilians and targeting peaceful villages, as happened today following the valiant resistance fighters' repelling of an advance towards the hill of Ali al-Taher last night.
The Islamic Resistance remains vigilant against any aggression, with its fighters bravely defending their land and people with a spirit inspired by Karbala and Husain. They inflict heavy losses on Israel's army, killing and injuring scores of officers and soldiers, damaging vehicles, and demonstrating resilience, day and night on the battlefield.
