Hezbollah MP Urges Lebanese Government to Reject Negotiations Amid Israeli Attacks

Lebanese MP for Hezbollah, Hassan Fadlallah, stated that Iran has informed the party that ongoing negotiations with the United States depend on achieving a comprehensive ceasefire.

In an interview with Reuters, Fadlallah emphasized that the Lebanese government should reject any direct negotiations with Israel as long as Israeli attacks on Lebanon continue. He argued that the current circumstances do not permit such steps.

He further added that the United States bears responsibility for ensuring the cessation of Israeli attacks and implementing existing agreements and understandings. He urged Washington to exert genuine pressure on Israel to halt its military operations.

Fadlallah's remarks come amid escalating tensions on the Lebanese front and continued Israeli airstrikes on southern and Bekaa regions, alongside discussions of diplomatic efforts tied to US-Iranian negotiations and regional security developments.
