A senior U.S. official informed Reuters that Israel and Hezbollah have agreed to a ceasefire starting at 4 PM local time today, Friday.
The official, who requested anonymity, stated, "Hezbollah and Israel have agreed to a ceasefire."
The official also noted that American and Qatari negotiators facilitated the agreement with the assistance of Iran.
Meanwhile, Channel 12 reported an Israeli official saying, "The ceasefire has begun, and we will remain in the security zone. If we are attacked, we will respond."
Similarly, Ibrahim Mousawi, a member of the "Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc" stated, "We will abide by the ceasefire if Israel adheres to it, and we reserve the right to respond."
