Possible U.S.-Driven Gradual Israeli Withdrawal from Security Belt Discussed

The Israeli Broadcasting Authority has reported that discussions between Lebanon and Israel are centered on the potential Israeli withdrawal from southern Lebanon. This initiative aligns with the Lebanese army's pilot project implementation.

The report suggests that the United States might request that Israel gradually withdraw from certain areas within the security belt. Such a move would facilitate the deployment of the Lebanese army in these areas.

It was noted that several planned operations, including those in the Ali Taher Heights, have been halted. Meanwhile, the Israeli army is reorganizing and repositioning its forces on the ground as it awaits decisions from the political leadership.

The Israeli Broadcasting Authority also mentioned that a new round of talks between Israel and Lebanon is set to begin today. Israel has provided detailed intelligence to the United States concerning Hezbollah's underground infrastructure in the Ali Taher Heights.
