Iran's Revolutionary Guard Admits Financial Support Needed from Government

Following its prominent role in confrontations with the United States and Israel amid the war that erupted on February 28, and its repeated assertions of possessing military capabilities capable of defending the nation, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard has acknowledged the need for financial support.

Hussein Mohabi, spokesperson for the Revolutionary Guard, stated on Sunday that it is the government's duty to support military forces to enable them to carry out their tasks, emphasizing that financial assistance is required to equip various units and meet their needs.

He further emphasized that "the government is obligated to provide this support," stressing that "supporting the armed forces becomes more critical when the country is at war with major powers," as he put it.

These statements came after Iranian President Masoud Bazshkian had previously announced that the government allocated 20 million barrels of oil to the Guard, as well as its foreign exchange resources, to enable it to continue fighting.
