President Aoun Honors Lebanese Army Martyrs on Commemoration Day

On the occasion of the Lebanese Army Martyrs' Commemoration Day, falling on July 31, President Joseph Aoun stated, "On this day, we stand in reverence to honor the memory of our national army's martyrs, who sacrificed their lives for Lebanon's sovereignty, territorial integrity, and the dignity of its people. They are men who believed that the homeland is worthy of the greatest sacrifices, and they followed the path of duty without hesitation, etching with their blood the purest chronicles of heroism and allegiance."

He added, "The Lebanese army martyrs are not mere numbers forgotten over time; they are a living symbol of loyalty and sacrifice and serve as an example to every soldier who wears the military uniform today, defending the nation's borders, institutions, and citizens' security. Their memory is a trust in our hands, and our gratitude is not complete unless we uphold the values for which they were martyred: a free, sovereign, and independent Lebanon."

He concluded, "On this occasion, I affirm to the families of the martyrs and all Lebanese that the Lebanese state remains faithful to its pledge, committed to taking care of the martyrs' families and safeguarding their legacy. Their memory shall remain a beacon guiding us in the journey of nation-building and supporting our military institution, which embodies the unity of all Lebanese people. Glory to our martyrs, eternity to their memory, and honor to our vigilant army."
